Well below my normal stop % but will be holding on a little longer.

From the 3rd Quarter earnings (Nov 1st)
As of September 30, 2007, Nuvelo had $117.3 million in cash and cash equivalents, short-term investments and restricted cash.

Market cap as of Friday 76.88M closing price 1.44 at 2.20 would equal cash value as of 9/30

I expected cash rich bio’s to at least hang in there with the markets selling off. It seems like pretty much everything is just getting taken down.

My plan here is to time the bottom add a few more and wait for that bounce.

Looks like I slipped up on my plan for adding more at the bottom. When I saw this thing print 1.26 on the the 21st my gut said that was it.

I really hate to add more here when the stock is now up 20%. I’m just going to ride it up and possibly add on a dip. I do like this one for a longer term swing, however it would have been nice to double or triple down to get that cost average down. From the lows of 1.26 to 2.20 is a 74% move up! 2.20 to 1.26 was down 42%

    Amazing, and not surprised………..
Would have been too easy to double or triple down and be in the green with a 50% move.
    Triple down 30% gain
    Double down 11.4% gain

I have my doubts I’ll see 2.20 in the short term. I’m thinking its going to need to pullback and try again. The money knows where people are ‘trapped’. If my math is correct they have 2.20 in cash but they are burning it but a bio which can just pop on news.

It just hurts to see a big move and not being in the green. I guess the good news is it was one of the first for a quick bounce back.

    Position Closed 2.26 +2.7%
From the lows to 2.26 +79.3% Had it held the 2.00 ’s I would probably ride it out longer but the move was sharp. I believe I read there is a Conf on the 10th of Dec. So it might continue…….

    TSG-

Thanks for the analysis, the charts are all very impressive. I do see NUVO as, at the very least, a watchlist candidate next week, especially considering the December 10th conferance at 4:30pm…The extended hours could be volatile on NUVO…How about with more impressive news, NUVO attempts to recapture its May/June levels? I think I am very late to the party, but cheers to you and your impressive ride! Hopefully something good comes on Monday !
